Overview

The Project Manager-Sales is a critical member, dedicated to identify, define, and drive new innovations and functionality for sales by managing small to large complex projects from inception to completion with an emphasis on automation. The role will work horizontally across many functions and cross functional teams to develop and translate user needs and processes to drive revenue, promote growth and simplification. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Sales Operations.

 

The Sales Operations team aligns the overall Sales vision into actionable projects and tasks by executing the development and implementation of operational strategy, advancement of process, process automation, systems effectiveness and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  1. Develop action plans with clear goals and objectives for each project assigned.
  2. Effectively communicate project status and risks.
  3. Propose ideas and provide recommendations based on research and analysis.
  4. Support and drive the success of assignments, working with key stakeholders to deliver results.

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

  1. Develop action plans with clear goals and objectives for each project assigned.
    • Produce detailed project plans project phases and milestones within each phase.
    • Manage and drive the overall project.
    • Provide direction and prioritization of work assignments, team resources, etc.
  2. Effectively communicate project status and risks.
    • Produce effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and overall project related topics.
    • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  3. Propose ideas and provide recommendations based on research and analysis.
    • Assist in the development of customized policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Participate in end-user testing.
  4. Support and drive the success of assignments, working with key stakeholders to deliver results.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Ensure management approval of changes to scope.
    • Manage project distractions.
    • Write final SOP.
    • Train Sales leaders.
    • Once a project is complete and the process or product goes live, provide ongoing support recommendations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:                                                                 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • PMP or other recognized Project Management certification is preferred.
  • At least 2 years project management experience.
  • Must possesses significant practical experience in the basics of project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven accomplishment as a driver of multiple projects running concurrently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, influencing and remediation skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt processes to support changing business conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to either work independently or effectively with a team.
  • Ability to build and leverage alliances across both internal and client teams.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner.

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                  

  • Advanced computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Internet, Microsoft Project and/or other PM tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com is preferred.
