    The Business Services Analyst – Temporary will support the Business Services team by analyzing customer transaction data from multiple sources to deliver insights for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assist the group in monetizing product offerings to increase revenue growth. The role may also participate in projects to help streamline and standardize operations.  

     

    *This is a temporary role with an assignment of approximately six months in length.*

    Responsibilities

    Primary Objectives:

    1. Support QBR and PLD (Package Label Detail) reporting and analysis.
    2. Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets.
    3. Help develop and implement tools and templates to support business operation.

    Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives):

    1. Support QBR and PLD reporting and analysis.
      • Develop and implement detailed and accurate reports for the Business Services, providing visibility into performance against key business objectives.
      • Work with management and internal teams to prioritize business and information needs.
      • Translate the data into tables and charts
      • Support the Sales Operations with ad-hoc projects and analysis as may be needed to support on-going changes and business challenges.
      • Present recommendations to management.
    2. Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets.
      • Manipulate and interpret large datasets to deliver actionable insights to management.
      • Design intuitive and sophisticated visualizations to communicate key insights that drive business decisions.
      • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques to influence decision making.
      • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    3. Help develop and implement tools and templates to support business operation.
      • Provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business initiatives.
      • Work with management and internal teams to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements,
      • Perform automation via scripting tools, excel macros and VBA.  
      • Work on projects to drive revenue optimization, product monetization, and business process improvements through combination of analytics, qualitative insights and good business sense.
      • Participate in design review sessions
      • Recommend potential business solutions and ensure successful implementations, including improvements and revisions to business processes and requirements.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:                                                             

    • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or scientific field, or equivalent experience.
    • Three or more (3+) years’ business process analysis or data analysis experience.
    • Previous research and/or data science experience a plus.
    • Prior experience in Tableau or other data visualization platforms preferred.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Self-starter
    • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong ability to perform database queries.
    • Strong ability to working with and analyze large data sets.

    Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                  

    • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
    • Proficient in SQL is preferred.
    • Tableau or other data visualization platforms preferred.
