• Sales Operations Analyst (Temporary)

    The Sales Operations Analyst provides research support and assistance to the Sales team. The role performs certain regular tasks around the collection and analysis of customer data, as well as a range of activities that contribute to and support the production and delivery of research material. The position reports to the Senior Director, Sales.


    *This is a temporary role with an assignment of approximately three months in length.*


    The Sales Operations team is instrumental in optimizing lead management, supporting and streamlining the sales process by analyzing customer data, and working closely with our sales department to continuously improve our operational infrastructure. We organize customer and market place data to generate deep customer insights which enhance sales force productivity and effectiveness.

    Primary Objectives:

    1. Perform reporting and analysis tasks.
    2. Researching data sets and information sources.
    3. Data entry, combination, and analysis using spreadsheets and databases.
    4. Assistance in various projects as needed.

    Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

    1. Perform reporting and analysis tasks.
      • Generate sales trends, pricing, revenue performance metrics, product performance and other sales-related reports.
      • Analyze, sort, and process large amounts of revenue data using MS-Excel functions (Pivots, V-lookups).
      • Ad hoc report requests as desired.
    2. Researching and analyzing data sets and information sources.
      • Research external publicly available data to obtain relevant insights for our data analysis.
      • Analyze historical data and groupings to identify trends.
    3. Extract relevant metrics and indicators from data sets to identify patterns and measure their impact.
      • Data entry, combination, and analysis using spreadsheets and databases.
      • Assemble and maintain sales databases from disparate data sources.
    4. Assistance in various projects as needed.


    Preferred Education and/or Experience:             

    • Two years of college education in a scientific field or equivalent experience
    • Previous research and/or data science experience a plus

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Self-starter
    • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Ability to complete tasks and projects with little to no supervision

    Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

    • Proficient in using spreadsheets and performing database queries
    • Experience working with large data sets is a plus
