Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting  the Sales Team with weekly revenue reporting, dashboard management, forecasting, pricing, sales analysis. 

 

The Sales Operations team is instrumental in supporting and streamlining the sale process by analyzing customer data, optimizing lead management, and working closely with our sales department to continuously improve our operational infrastructure. The group organizes customer and market place data to generate deep customer insights which enhance sales force productivity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Primary Objective:  

  1. Support sales planning activities.
  2. Perform analysis activities.
  3. Monitor industry trends.
  4. Assist Sales Management as needed.

 

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

  1. Support sales planning activities.
    • Collect and manipulate data to gather key metrics for management stakeholders.
  2. Perform analysis activities.
    • Generate sales reports, create views reports, move objects and various other CRM needs
    • Analyze, sort, and process large amounts of revenue data using MS-Excel functions (Pivots, V-lookups)
    • Define, measure, and communicate core operational metrics.
    • Provide insight and recommendations for improvement to the business.
  3. Monitor industry trends.
    • Gather and analyze data from field sales, contracts, competitors, and secondary market research.
  4. Assist Sales Management as needed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:                                                                  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or mathematics is preferred.
  • Must have at least Two (2) years’ experience planning, budgeting, and analysis for a sales organization.
  • Must have at least One (1) year experience working with SaleForce.com, preferably as an  administrator.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience entering, tracking and reporting data.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, time constraints, ability to multi-task without compromise qualities.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively using both written (PPT, email) and verbal across different groups within Sales, as well as wcrossfunctionally. 
  • Strong independent work ethic, self-starter, must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and pick up new skills quickly.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Team player – builds working relationships with team members and personnel at all levels.

 Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel (V-look up function, Pivot Table, Macros), PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Salesforce.com admin level or proven experience required, specifically: reporting, dashboards, campaigns, leads (managing, importing), opportunities, maintain and continually update/expand on the Salesforce.com documentation. 

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%.
