Overview

Endicia’s Senior Business Analyst is responsible for all facets of sales analysis including, modeling, forecasts, Salesforce.com reporting/analytics, revenue reporting, pricing and various other sales projects as requested.
 
The Sales Operations team organizes customer and market place data to generate deep customer insights which enhance sales force productivity and effectiveness. The team is instrumental in streamlining the sale process by analyzing customer and representative data, optimizing lead management, and working closely with our sales department to continuously improve our operational infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  1. Support all sales planning activities.
  2. Perform advanced analysis activities
  3. Monitors industry trends. 
  4. Assist sales Management as needed. 

 

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

 

1. Support all sales planning activities:

  • Develop financial & analytic models
  • Generate reports, create views, move objects and various other CRM needs
  • Collect and manipulate data to gather key metrics for management stakeholders

2. Perform advanced analysis activities including:

  • Defining, measuring, and communicating core operational metrics 
  • Providing insight and recommendations to the business.

3. Monitoring industry trends using data from internal sources:

  • Analyze, sort, and process large amounts of revenue data using MS-Excel functions (Pivots, V-lookups)
  • Perform competitor and secondary research.

4. Assist sales Management as needed in the areas of:

  • Opportunity tracking
  • Sales reporting 
  • Ad hoc requests

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or mathematics is preferred.
  • Must have at least six (6) years’ experience planning, budgeting, and analyzing data for a sales organization with significant focus on documenting, tracking, and reporting on lead and current account activities.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work under deadlines, time constraints, ability to multi-task without compromise qualities
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively using both written (PPT, email) and verbally across different groups within Sales, as well as with Marketing, Business Development, Support, and Management
  • Strong independent work ethic, self-starter, must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and pick up new skills quickly
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Team player – builds working relationships with team members and personnel at all levels

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel (V-look up function, Pivot Table, Macros), PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Salesforce.com experience required, specifically: reporting, dashboards, campaigns, leads & opportunities, 

Travel Requirements:

  • May have to travel one time per year within the domestic U.S.
